Volunteer at Wurstfest with CCSCF
SPRECHEN SIE FUN? NOVEMBER 1st-10th 2024
Grab your dirndl or lederhosen and join us for an annual celebration of German culture called Wurstfest, right here in New Braunfels, Texas! There’s so much to enjoy at this annual event: good food, music, dancing, exciting carnival rides and games, German, Texan and domestic beer, special events and the finest in Alpine and Bavarian style entertainment. It all happens at Wurstfest. The best ten days in sausage history! For more info on this great event, visit the official Wurstfest website.
Volunteer with CCSCF at Wurstfest!
The Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation will be operating our annual Park & Ride to Wurstfest, as well as selling tasty German food at Das Schnitzel Haus Booth in the Marktplatz on the Wurstfest grounds. All proceeds help fund our senior services and the programs offered by CCSCF. We depend on many volunteers for this event, our largest fundraiser! There are multiple shifts every day during the ten-day celebration. Tasks include managing the parking lot, driving a van or small bus with attendees to/from the Wurstfest grounds, preparing/serving food at the booth, taking money and making change. For more information, call us today at 830.629.4547 or email us at volunteer@nbsenior.org
Please note: The food booth is very fast paced and space is limited so all volunteers must be able to stand, move around, bend and pivot for their entire shift. Also, volunteer positions in the booth are subject to change the evening of shift based on available help. Despite how busy it gets, we have lots of fun!
For those working in the food booth on the grounds of Wurstfest, your shift comes with a FREE ticket into Wurstfest for use on the day of your shift. All volunteers for the CCSCF Park & Ride and Das Schnitzel Haus Booth must sign up for each shift through Sign Up Genius. Click on the red buttons below to volunteer.
